This extremely rare gun was original sold as one of the many Captain Video premiums from the 1950s. Included with the toy was a glow in the dark "space map" and instruction manual.

The gun came with its own battery, which was pushed forward into the gun to cause the bulb in the tip to light. (Note: Doc's got the battery in backwards—they're almost always stuck in the gun due to expansion at the battery's tip. Rather than risk corrosion to the gun, or cracking, Doc decided to store the battery backwards. Don't like it? Get yer own and do what ya want with it.)
